The King of Soul: Sam Cooke!

He was an american R&B, Soul singer, and songwriter plus Entrepreneur. Cooke is considered to be one of the pioneer and founders of soul music. Sam had 29 top-40 hits in the U.S between 1957-1964. Cooke was also amoung the first modern black performers and composers to attend to the business side of his musical career. He founded both a record label & a publishing company. He also took an active part in the American Civil Rights Movement. Sam Cooke's manager killed him at the young age of 33.
